Overview
Black Reach’s people lived through an ork advance that made their world known to commanders far away. The Ultramarines broke the invasion, but the battles were fought in places somebody had occupied before they became objectives. Relief did not bring those lives back in their former shape.
The cities were rebuilt under the protection and influence of Ultramar. Their defences watch approaches that have already failed to keep an enemy out once. For the wider Imperium, Black Reach can be recorded as a successful intervention. The inhabitants have had to make a home of what that success left them.
