Overview

In the Sabbat Worlds, a liberated city may still need a garrison large enough to fight for it again. Crusade armies advance across a theatre of more than a hundred systems, leaving supply routes and damaged settlements behind them. An announcement of victory does not tell a civilian which road is safe.

The campaign lives in convoy schedules, occupied buildings and the movements of regiments whose casualties are replaced far from the people counting them. This marker represents the whole theatre. Its ring is approximate: the line separating Imperial possession from an enemy-held world changes as the armies move. The old archive identifier ‘Chiros’ does not name a confirmed Sabbat world.
