Overview
A conventional chart cannot give Commorragh a useful distance from its next victims. The city lies within the webway, reached by hidden routes that disregard the arrangements of fleets guarding ordinary space. An attack can arrive where the local defenders have no reason to expect an approach.
Those routes also carry captives away. A patrol searching the visible system may find no course to follow, because the raiders have left it by a means the patrol cannot use. The marker records a danger outside ordinary stellar geography. Its position on this chart is a reminder of that limit, rather than a place a rescue ship can simply be ordered to reach.
M41 and M42 status
Webway city outside ordinary galactic placement.
Still off-map, predatory, and reachable by hidden paths.
Timeline
Raid survivor accounts are filed without reliable stellar origin.
Inquisitorial charts classify the city as webway-linked, not normally placed.
Rift turmoil increases fear of attacks through nonstandard routes.
Strategium warnings retain the off-map marker for practical caution.
