Overview
Elysia has more to offer its inhabitants than a place on a factory shift. By Imperial standards it is a pleasant world. The ships travelling through its surrounding space have been less fortunate, and the work of dealing with pirates taught its soldiers to reach an enemy quickly and at close quarters.
That experience became a military export. Elysian drop troops leave aircraft by grav-chute and land where heavier formations cannot be brought in time. A company can be committed before there is any certainty of recovering it. Far from home, its survivors carry the name of a world whose relative comforts helped make their service valuable to the tithe collectors.
