Overview
The pilgrims arriving at Gathalamor enter a world built around the keeping of the dead. Its catacombs run beneath cathedrals, and its relics sustain an Ecclesiarchy authority that reaches far beyond the tombs. The living tend the shrines and make room for those still coming.
The routes that carry worshippers also approach Terra. That gives the world a value no quantity of devotion can protect on its own. When war reaches these lanes, the defenders must hold buildings filled with the remains of people they have been taught to revere. Shellfire offers them little choice about what can be saved.
