Overview
Sotha was a quiet home for the Scythes of the Emperor before Hive Fleet Kraken reached it. The invasion consumed the world and brought its Chapter close to extinction. The surviving warriors left with the name of a place that could no longer supply the lives and resources on which their order had depended.
The Scythes’ remnants have watched the dead world and begun the slow work of restoration. Their campaigns elsewhere carry the memory of its destruction. A Chapter can preserve its identity after losing a home. Replacing the population that made the home possible is a different undertaking, with no comparable certainty of success.
