Overview
Konor’s factories and research establishments serve Ultramar under a relationship with the Mechanicus that has not always been comfortable. The output is useful enough that questions of status and authority have never been merely ceremonial. Ships and armour are built while priests decide which obligations have the stronger claim.
The system’s importance gives enemies reason to approach it on the way towards Macragge. In the Indomitus era, Konor also becomes a northern tetrarchal seat. Workers supplying the war effort live beneath another layer of command, with more of the realm’s survival depending on installations whose continued operation requires their labour.
History
Konor served as a shipbuilding centre and armoury during the Great Crusade. Its obligations to Ultramar complicated relations with Mars, while the moon Gantz held recognised forge-world status. The priests hesitated politically during the crisis at Calth before supporting Guilliman.
Military significance
Heresy material identifies Konor as a forge and secondary Ultramarine armoury. During the Plague Wars, Mortarion sought to use its system on the way towards Macragge. Imperial resistance denied the breakthrough without sparing every neighbouring world the consequences of the invasion.

Imperial research / industrial world
Accounts describe Konor at different times as a research station and a forge world. Its industrial value persists through the changing designations; one formal classification cannot safely be applied to every period.
Forge world; northern tetrarchal seat
Konor is a forge world and northern tetrarchal headquarters under Severus Agemman. The system withstands the Death Guard offensive, though the wider campaign includes losses beyond Konor itself.
Timeline

Provisional placement
The official 2026 diagram places Konor almost directly north, slightly east, of Macragge.
The older Heresy inset instead places it northwest. This local layout follows the current diagram and leaves older-map alignment unresolved.
Official 2026 system diagram. The retained Macragge anchor and an editorial scale fit the local diagram into the existing Ultramar region. Relative layout is reproduced; physical distance and exact galaxy coordinates are not measured.
