Overview
Mandragora’s crypts received armies at the end of a war fought before human history. Their long dormancy left other species time to occupy worlds the Sautekh Dynasty still regards as its possessions. From the awakened crownworld, Imotekh sends forces to recover them.
The campaigns are described as reclamation by the power conducting them. For inhabitants whose ancestors never knew a Necron claim existed, they arrive as invasion. Mandragora concentrates the command and warriors required to enforce that older ownership, drawing on a span of memory against which an entire human settlement can amount to a recent intrusion.
History
Formidable forces entered Mandragora’s stasis-crypts after the War in Heaven. On awakening, the world resumed its role in dynastic war. Imotekh sent armies against Snagratoof’s orks on neighbouring tomb worlds, treating the intervening occupation as something to be removed.
Military significance
The crownworld concentrates warriors and the authority to deploy them. Its armies threaten eastern Imperial territory while recovering the dynasty’s older holdings. These campaigns are better documented than the full reserves or active population within the tombs.
