Overview
Distance from Mars has given Triplex Phall room to keep its discoveries close. Exploratory fleets search ancient human settlements for useful knowledge, and the priesthood has little desire to surrender everything they recover. Tribute can demonstrate loyalty without revealing how a factory actually produces what it sends.
The forge world is supported by Knight houses and Legio Victorum. Even Martian forces assigned to observe its expeditions have contributed to its security. Local authorities must deal with enemies outside their borders while managing suspicion from within their own faith. A useful discovery can bring both kinds of attention to the same system.
History
During the Heresy, Triplex Phall belonged to a related group with Galatia and Thule. Its rulers initially supported Horus. Loyalist elements later delivered the world to the Dark Angels, allowing Phall to survive where its sister worlds did not.
Military significance
Legio Victorum and allied Knights support the Skitarii. Martian troops assigned to watch exploratory fleets also strengthen the local defence. Accounts record Tyranid, Typhus-led and daemonic attacks being repelled before durable footholds could be established, without securely dating each event.
M41 and M42 status
Imperial forge world with strong local autonomy
The forge world produces and pays tribute while guarding its technical knowledge. Formal obedience coexists with substantial practical independence from Mars.
Imperial affiliation recorded; precise local situation unverified
Imperial allegiance and an Eastern Fringe location are established. A precise post-Rift local report is not. The chronology of its repelled invasions remains uncertain, as do present population and garrison figures.
Timeline

Martian oversight accompanies exploratory activity.
Tyranid, plague-fleet and daemonic attacks are repelled.

Provisional placement
The viewed Mechanicus galaxy map places Triplex Phall in the eastern reaches of Ultima, north of Charadon.
The point remains a broad regional estimate. Triplex Phall is distinct from the Phall system of the Heresy battle.
Source-reviewed regional estimate in the existing 0–1000 chart. The retained galaxy anchors, exact point and any ring size are not surveyed coordinates or territorial boundaries.
