Overview
For centuries, weapons left Agripinaa for the fortress systems around the Cadian Gate. The defences helped keep the forge world working; the factories supplied the men holding them. Attacks came often enough to leave deep scars outside the protected settlements, where the air and soil were already poisoned by industry.
The priesthood replaces losses with machines, Skitarii and combat servitors. Maintaining production so close to the enemy gives that last category particular importance. There is always another requirement for a body that can be made to serve. Beyond the factories, Legio Praesidium Vortex and the world’s other defenders fight to keep the loading bays in Imperial hands.
History
Agripinaa armed the Cadian defences, which in turn helped shelter its production. The Thirteenth Black Crusade brought a major assault directly against the forge world. Imperial resistance preserved the factories, but did not end the attacks that made them valuable targets.
Military significance
Skitarii and combat servitors defend the world alongside Mechanicus ships and the Titans of Legio Praesidium Vortex. Replacement servitors help sustain a defence conducted under grinding losses. The arsenal consumes people while it equips the armies keeping it alive.
M41 and M42 status
Cadian Gate arsenal; repeatedly besieged
The fighting around Cadia puts Agripinaa under severe pressure. Its factories are objectives close to the front, with little prospect of working as a secure rear area.
Imperial-held; Iron Warriors offensive ongoing
Cadia’s fall exposes the forge world to larger fleets. Kravek Morne’s Iron Warriors advance through neighbouring systems, opposed by Thulia Ghuld and Iron Hands reinforcements. Their attempt to isolate Agripinaa remains contested in the recorded campaign.
